ISN’T VENMO JUST FOR PAYING PEOPLE?
WELL, YA. BUT IT CAN DO SO MUCH MORE.
For Gen Z money talk is far from taboo. In fact, Gen Z believes in financial transparency and openly talks about their finances with their friends.
So in our latest campaign for Venmo, when we were asked how exactly do we talk about Venmo’s expansive new offerings… well, you do just that.
You talk about it BETWEEN FRIENDS.
Knowing the best way to reach gen z these days is through entertainment, NOT ADS, we created a longform episodic series that drops into conversations
between REAL friends Rachel Sennott and Jordan Firstman, that just so happen to seamlessly weave in the hilarious ways Venmo is engrained into their
lives, unexpectedly sneaking in product benefits along the way.
We set out to create three episodes built around real conversations about Venmo. The coolest part? Every creative decision was deeply intentional — from
the "BETWEEN FRIENDS" title I designed, to director Ramez Silyan's obsessive attention to detail, to shooting on 35MM with Oscar-winning DP Drew Daniels,
to Mura Masa crafting a custom stinger just for us. We got to work with some of the best in the business, and it shows.
This campaign was truly a dream come true and to top it off, we got to work
with Sinna Nasseri on photography who I personally got to accompany on set. 🤪
Lastly, we got to create some pretty fun social-first ancillary content to support our main films
that felt fresh and authentic to Rachel and Jordan.
